Defensive Coordinator, Flowers High School

A proud alumnus of Flowers High School, Coach Marsalis has dedicated the last decade to building one of Maryland’s most respected high school football defenses. Serving as Defensive Coordinator for 8 years and Head Coach of the JV team for 2, he has been the strategic force behind a consistently top-five ranked defense in the state. Specializing in linebacker development, Coach Marsalis is known for his disciplined, high-intensity units that reflect his deep understanding of the game.

A former standout strong safety at Elizabeth City State University, Coach Marsalis brings collegiate playing experience and leadership to the sideline. As a player, he once held the Flowers High School record for most interceptions in a season—an achievement that set the tone for his coaching career.

Widely recognized in the local football community, Coach Marsalis combines homegrown pride with elite-level defensive strategy, making him a cornerstone of the Flowers football program.
