Bio

Troy Wimberly, (Coach Wimbo) a defensive back coach joined the staff in 2019. Wimberly has extensive experience and is dedicated and focused on development. Wimberly is completely into the details of the game. He has taught, coached and developed a ton of next level athletes.

Coach Wimberly has coached 3 All county first/second team defensive backs. He spent the 2023 and 2024 seasons helping in the passing game. Coach Wimberly also serves as one of the Recruiting Coordinator for the program.

Coach Wimberly is committed to mentoring players academically and personally, helping them pursue opportunities both on and off the field, and leaving a lasting impact on the program.

A native of Miami, Fla., Wimberly played collegiately at Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, Virginia where he was a four-year letterwinner.
